BUY THOSE THAT BUY USTM

BTTBUTM is a two-fold Council initiative designed to…

1) accelerate the learning curve to create successful supplier diversity programs and

2) keep the goal of minority business inclusion in the forefront of the corporate and public sector mindset.

BUY THOSE THAT BUY USTM recognizes best practices that have achieved real results utilizing certified MBEs and encourages others to include these best practices in their supplier diversity programs. These results provide insight on building MBE capacity, advocating internal discussions and training, implementing multi-tiered programs, expanding spending outside traditional procurement areas and much more.

In addition, BTTBUTM gathers actual data from BTTBUTM participating Buying Entities in order to examine the aggregate progress of increasing minority business revenues.  Finally, BTTBUTM inspires each of us to sync our spending habits with our goals and objectives in life. Spending money (business and/or personal) with those that spend money with minority owned businesses is at the heart of BTTBUTM. Why wouldn’t you spend money with someone who believes what you believe? If it can be true for the “Green” movement, it can be true for minority inclusion. When you have a choice – choose businesses that are part of BUY THOSE THAT BUY USTM. BTTBUTM) begins to bring full circle the link between supporting minority owned business inclusion and economic growth in North Texas — the communities, employees and customer base.

The BUY THOSE THAT BUY USTM initiative is our way to acknowledge the efforts of our Buying Entity Partners for their commitment surrounding minority business inclusion. A panel of MBEs reviews the information, chooses the best practices of all that were submitted and highlights those programs/efforts at a recognition breakfast in April each year.
